North Queensland certainly has some great hidden treasures to explore.  Cobbold Gorge is definitely worth putting on your travel list if you love the great outdoors.  I recently took my parents (and Leo, my adorable dog) on a 3 day adventure along the Savannah Way. The natural beauty of the area is amazing.

Cobbold Gorge is located is located on The Savananah Way, about an hour and a bit from Georgetown, NW Queensland.  It’s a half day drive from Cairns and makes for  a great long weekend getaway. I’d highly recommend staying at the Cobbold accommodation as the setting is very picturesque, facilities excellent and great food too.

Our tour guide at Cobbold Gorge, Kerre, was very passionate about her job and her enthusiasm and knowledge really made for a great tour.
