A visit to The Kimberley would not be complete without exploring at least part of what the Gibb River Road has to offer. We opted to visit El Questro Wilderness Park and spent our time exploring the bushwalks, tackling the 4WD tracks, relaxing to the live entertainment at night while meeting other travelers and hearing their stories, and soaking up the amazing atmosphere of this incredible place. We didn’t to get see everything in the time we had so we will keep this one on our holiday list to go back and explore some more!
Brancos Lookout
Explosion Hole
Durack Tree
Pigeon Hole Lookout
Telecom Hill – One of the station walks
Emma Gorge – well worth the effort of the walk!
Champagne Springs
A surprise landing of the HeliSpirit chopper at the end of our walk… He was coming in to pick up a group of walkers that were then doing a scenic flight back to the station. I was kinda hoping there was a spare seat but no luck on that one!
Pentecost River Crossing
A taste of the corrugations of Gibb River Road!
There is always something calming and relaxing about a sunset in the outback. Looking forward to getting back to see more sunsets in The Kimberley at some stage down the track!
