When our very good friends, Mel and Brian announced their wedding day there was always going to be a surprise or two to look forward to… and they certainly didn’t disappoint. The ceremony was to be held in Karumba Lions Park (according to the wedding invitation), but when people starting rolling in to the park there was something just a little fishy going on… no groom… no amazing decorations… a troubled Pastor pretending to be about to cancel the wedding day after a no-show from both the bride and groom….

But… Mel and Brian had other ideas in mind. Why waste such a beautiful day on land when there was a secret destination awaiting by boat… a magical sand island in the middle of the ocean.  All aboard the boats and we ventured out to sea to witness a very special couple commit their love to each other.  Mel arrived in style by chopper to her very surprised and happy guests.

The biggest dilemma of the day was what to write as the location on the wedding register….. a sand island in the middle of the gulf!!!  one that comes and goes with the tides.  I’d consider that to be one very unique and special destination to celebrate such a momentous day.
